Not Receiving Rutgers Email at your ISP?
Some ISPs, like Hotmail and AOL, filter email
as it arrives to their service with global filtering rules. We
have experienced that some of these rules are causing Rutgers email
messages (registration, financial aid, events, and other notices) to
not
be delivered to the inbox. The solution is to change your
filtering rules to permit email from rutgers.edu with this
suggested
method for Hotmail.

Residential
Dorm Network Improvements
One advantage to
living in the on-campus housing is direct connection to the Rutgers
network, RUNet. Over the holiday break, RUCS replaced all of the HP
hubs with Cisco switches
that now permit all connections in the rooms to run on a
non-shared connection at a full 10Mbps. Also, a new, high-speed
fiber link was pulled to the campus backbone for improved
throughput. Other information
is available through ResNet.
