How do I configure my Android phone to check my Rutgers email?
Detailed instructions are maintained in our online document area, under the title Configuring Android OS for Rutgers-Camden Email.
Below is a summary of the information needed to setup your Android phone to read your Rutgers-Camden email:
- Email Address: netid@camden.rutgers.edu
- IMAP Username: NetID (do not include @camden.rutgers.edu for username)
- IMAP server:
Camden Students - email.clam.rutgers.edu
Camden Faculty & Staff - email.crab.rutgers.edu - IMAP Port: 993
- IMAP Security Type: SSL
- SMTP server:
Camden Students - same as IMAP server
Camden Faculty & Staff - same as IMAP server - SMTP Port: 465
- SMTP Security Type: SSL
- Require Sign-In: Yes
- SMTP Username: NetID (do not include @camden.rutgers.edu for username)
- Recommended email checking frequency:
30 minutes or 1 hour. More frequent intervals may drain your phone's battery too quickly.
