If you are prompted to login to any of the tools below, please use your NetID and password. Logins do not accept email aliases (like firstname.lastname). Logins do not accept NetIDs formatted as email addresses (ude.sregtur.erehwemosnull@diten) either.
NetID and Account Information
- Activate a NetID – Rutgers NetIDs are automatically generated for all students, faculty, and staff. Before a NetID can be used, it must be activated. You will also have the option of creating a computer account. A computer account is needed for email, public labs, and other services. In Camden, students should create “clam” accounts while faculty and staff should create “crab” accounts.
- NetID/Password Management – The NetID management tool allows you to change your password, manage secret questions (students only), manage NetIDs (admins only), and manage your @rutgers.edu mail aliases.
- Personal Contact Information – Update emergency contacts (students only), control directory information visibility, update email address for official university messages.
- Reset Forgotten Password (students only) – If you know your current password, please use the password management tool listed above. To use this reset tool you must either know the answers to your secret questions or have a support key from the Camden Computing Services Help Desk. Please note that the account tools listed below are for Camden accounts only. This means that these email-related tools will only affect email delivered to the Camden mail servers (which accept mail bound for camden.rutgers.edu, clam.rutgers.edu, and crab.rutgers.edu).
