Supported Technologies

Camden Computing Services provides varying levels of support for hardware and software on different operating systems. It welcomes suggestions from the campus regarding what software and hardware should be supported.

Due to the rapidly-changing nature of technology, the most current information about supported hardware and software may not always be available online. Contact the department if clarification of support is needed.

Levels of Support

Support levels are currently divided into three major categories:

  • Full: the software or hardware has been tested for functionality and compatibility, multiple staff possess first-hand knowledge of it, documentation is available, seminars may be offered, and Help Desk consultation is available.
  • Partial: the software or hardware has been tested for functionality, at least one staff member possesses first-hand knowledge of it, documentation and Help Desk consultation may be available.
  • As-Is: the software or hardware is provided with limited or no testing, staff may have very limited first-hand knowledge of it, vendor documentation (if available), and may not be fully compatible with all our systems.
