Camden Web Mail

Email for Students

During NetID activation, new students have the option of creating an account on a Camden campus server (clam) or on the ScarletMail server that is part of Google Apps for Education at Rutgers. While students can have accounts on both servers, the systems use separate mail storage systems.

Note: the integrated web mail client in the myRutgers portal has separate preference and address book storage from both Camden and Google mail services, even though you may configure it to access messages from either service.

Email for Faculty and Staff

In Camden, most faculty and staff have email delivered to a crab account. Accounts on the crab server are provided to all Camden faculty and staff at no cost to the academic and administrative units on the Camden campus. Faculty and staff may also have ScarletMail accounts, which are part of Google Apps for Education at Rutgers and are also provided at no cost.

There are also two enterprise mail systems available to Camden staff which do charge for accounts. These systems use Exchange (camlink) and Zimbra (rumail). If you are not sure whether you have an account on one of the enterprise mail systems, contact your UCS support staff or the Computing Services Help Desk.
